WORK FIELD

Jennifer Mildenberger

Jennifer holds a PhD in molecular medicine from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, and a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Bern, Switzerland. Her doctoral research focused on the molecular regulation of inflammation in human immune cells, especially with supplementation of omega-3 fatty acids. Jennifer has worked with different cell models and has experience with most cell biologic analyses. She has also taught analytical chemistry in the bioengineer program at NTNU Trondheim.

Jennifer joined Møreforsking in 2018 and is working in the field of marine ingredients. Her research is based on the use of various cell models with help of biochemical and cell biologic methods for the characterization of health-effects of marine ingredients. The research contributes to value creation from marine raw materials (protein, oils, etc.) and increased knowledge on lifestyle- and age-related diseases.
