Through over 30 years of business, Møreforsking has built solid expertise on designing and conducting projects within varying time- and budget-frames. The institute has 55 employees, whom conduct research, development, counseling and knowledge development.

Margareth Kjerstad

Margareth Kjerstad is a Fishery Science graduate from the Norwegian College of Fishery Science at the University of Tromsø, and has worked as a researcher at Møreforsking since 1992. Previously she has had experience as a commercial fisher in a variety of fisheries. 
Her field of work involves the processing, marketing and industrial development of fish and shellfish, with a focus of the complete value chain from raw material via processing to the market. The commercialisation of new products and little utilised marine resources is a key aspect of her work. At the present time she has special responsibility for the processing group and is also in charge of the marine VRI programme (regional R&D and Innovation) in Møre og Romsdal county. She also works as a competence broker.
