Through over 30 years of business, Møreforsking has built solid expertise on designing and conducting projects within varying time- and budget-frames. The institute has 55 employees, whom conduct research, development, counseling and knowledge development.

Snorre Bakke

Snorre Bakke is a marine biologist (M.Sc) from the University of Bergen specialising in the physiology and anatomy of fish. He has a bachelor’s degree in aquaculture from Ålesund University College and has also studied Arctic biology and marine biology at the University Centre in Svalbard. Snorre has worked for Møreforsking since August 2008.
Currently Snorre is a Ph.d. student at the Arctic University of Norway. In his PhD, which will finish summer 2018,  he studies geographical variations in biology and eco-physiology of the Edible crab (Cancer pagurus) along the coast of Norway.
Apart from his PhD, work at Møreforsking include reserach on biology and physiology of crustaceans, scallops and marine snails (whelks). Much of this research is conducted at Møreforsking`s research facilities at Ålesund Aquarium Atlanterhavsparken, where Snorre is responsible.
