Through over 30 years of business, Møreforsking has built solid expertise on designing and conducting projects within varying time- and budget-frames. The institute has 55 employees, whom conduct research, development, counseling and knowledge development.

WORK FIELD

Trygg Barnung

Trygg Barnung has a cand.scient. degree in environmental physiology (1986) from the University of Bergen, specialising in marine organisms. After completing his degree he has among other things worked with aquaculture for three years at the Institute of Marine Research. From 1990 to 2004 he worked with chemical and micro-biological analyses of fish and fish products as Head of Laboratory at the Directorate of Fisheries’ regional laboratory in Ålesund. From 2004 – 2009 Trygg was Head of Laboratory at Eurofins Norsk Matanalyse Ålesund, working on micro-biological analyses of food. He has been a member of staff at Møreforsking Marin since January 2009.
 
His main area of responsibility is marine biotechnology and molecular biology. In addition he is involved in specialisation in resource biology/catch, raw material treatment and processing.
