Guri Kaurstad Skrove
Guri Kaurstad is a researcher in Health, Education and Society at Møreforsking Molde. She has a master degree in Exercise Physiology and Sport Sciences and a PhD in Molecular medicine from NTNU. Her doctoral thesis dealt with changes in cardiomyocyte function following exercise training. The purpose of her thesis was to study the underlying mechanisms of the protective effect high maximal oxygen uptake has on the heart for development of future guidelines to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease. Guri has previously worked at Helseundersøkelsen i Nord-Trøndelag 3 and as an associate professor at Molde University College.
Guri has
worked at Møreforsking Molde since 2012. Her research field has mainly encompassed health
promotion and prevention, growing up and living conditions, as well as
organizing and coordinating services for children and adolescents.
